Startup Jury
The ATS Startup Jury is a distinguished group of investors, industry leaders, founders, and subject-matter experts who evaluate and select the most promising startups across the ten tracks of the Athens Tech Summit that will feature startup pitching.
Their mission is to ensure that the ATS Startup Competition is fair, rigorous, and truly reflective of the talent and innovation emerging across Europe and the global deeptech ecosystem. Each track will be judged by a minimum of three jury members, providing diverse perspectives and balanced evaluation.
Jury members are chosen for their demonstrated expertise, credibility, and real-world experience. They include venture capital investors, successful entrepreneurs, domain specialists, corporate innovation leaders, and technical experts with a track record of building, scaling, or financing high-growth companies.
Many will also serve as ATS Ambassadors and Advisory Board Members, reinforcing their dual role as evaluators and champions of the broader ecosystem. Their presence ensures that every startup is assessed through a professional lens grounded in both commercial and technological reality.
The Startup Jury reviews the shortlisted startup teams (five per track) using a transparent scoring system that measures market potential, product–market fit, valuation logic, team strength, defensibility, and overall investability. Their evaluation process is consistent, structured, and aligned with international standards for early-stage startup assessment.
By participating in the Jury, members actively shape which founders rise to the stage and gain exposure to investors, corporates, and media during the Summit.
